Hmmm . . . This is my Section for unanswered questions. (I took a hint from Mike Chenoweth's stuff. I hope you don't mind.) 1. Are you following the manga or the anime continuity? As should be fairly obvious by the way that they died, the anime. Basically. With a few elements of the manga thrown in for good measure. 2. Why are the beginning and ending songs so long? Got bored. I also wanted to torture you, *Mwahahaha*! THE NEXT COUPLE OF QUESTIONS ARE ABOUT THINGS THAT REFLECT ON MY WRITING. I just felt like giving my opinion, too. ^_^ 3. Who's your favorite Senshi? Usagi. Definitely Usagi. Then Setsuna, Minako, and everybody else, I suppose. 4. Who's your favorite Guardian? Jadeite. He's so kawaii! Then Kunzite, Nephrite, and Zoisite. (Hey, everybody loves the last three. Jade-kun needs somebody on *his* side! 5. Who's your favorite couple? Usagi and Mamoru/Serenity and Endymion. Close behind are Rei and Jadeite, then I guess Minako and Kunzite, Michiru and Haruka, and everybody else. Chibi-Usa and 'Elios are behind Usagi and Mamoru, but ONLY in my 'fics. Haha, I'll get to that eventually. 6. What happened to Queen Serenity in the past? How come you never explained some stuff Ñ like that scene in the song with the buckets? I admit it, I hinted at some background information about Queen Serenity's past and a lot of other stuff, but I never really explained it. Well, I just wasn't inspired to write about it. (Now, however, I have an idea. I could go back and write about it . . .) 7. What is Queen Serenity's husband's name? He has none. I forgot the name of the real guy in the legend, and I didn't want to use it anyway, and that's why he's just "the King", or a "Hero". (I'm toying with Ophion. If you're really *REALLY* good at Greek Mythology, you'll get this allusion. E-mail me if you do!) 8. Where are Luna and Artemis from, and how did they get to Earth? Why? Planet Mau. Don't know. To be Queen Serenity's advisors. Read the manga. 9. Who are Rei's parents? Read my new fanfic (even if it is in an alternate universe) and all shall be revealed . . . This *may* not even be revealed in the SEQUEL to "Past Loves." Ha! Some incentive for you. 10. Some of the things you write don't make any sense at all. For example, little kids don't speak that well! If you're wondering why Princess Serenity and her Senshi had such good grammar at the ages of 3-6, well, uh, *hehe* it's a side effect of being frozen in moonbeams for centuries. Their minds developed a little faster than normal. They're older than they appear. (Or something . . .) 11. Why does Princess Serenity meet Ikuko and Kenji? It came to me in a flash of inspiration, and I thought it would make Part Two less boring. 12. Is Shingo Ikuko's brother or her son? Well, both. Originally, he was just her son who was named after her brother, but what's wrong with reincarnating him three times? 13. Is the fact that Ikuko is tied to the Priestesses of the Moon the fact that Serenity is reincarnated as her daughter? Big YES! 14. Why didn't Serenity and Endymion do anything more interesting during their week together? Hentai! (Just kidding.) Well, I just ran out of ideas. Sorry. 15. What does the inscription on the archway mean and who is it referring to? The inscription simply means that at the zenith of the full moon, anyone who has the blood of Serenity (Including Endymion because of the whole blood thing. He uses it too, in the beginning of Part Five when he wishes that he and his Guardians can access their powers so that he can see "Usagi" again.) can make a wish, and due to the amplification of their powers, it will come true. The "Serenity" that it is referring to is Queen Serenity. However, as for the goddess Selene, that's another story altogether. A rather interesting one too. Does anybody want to read it? 16. Who the blazes is Clinden and should we even care? Clinden. Well, about Clinden and his friends, what *is* their purpose for existing? (Wouldn't we all like to know?) I wasn't going to introduce any new characters that played an important or semi-important role at first, but Endymion had to save Serenity from *something* and I'm not that original. Later, Clinden took on a life of his own, and I *was* going to have him reincarnated and stick him in another fanfic, (as a villain) but I decided that I didn't really like or hate him enough for that. Thus, he dies. Basically, he was just a messed up character that I created. He suffered the terrible loss of his family and blames their deaths on Princess Serenity. 17. AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!!! You slaughtered the personality of my favorite character! Uh, which one? ^^;;; Seriously though, I apologize if I did a bad characterization of any character, (Unintentional, I swear!) especially the Generals, er, Guardians. However, at least in the case of the Guardians, you have to admit that we never really find out (with the possible exception of Nephrite) what their personalities would be like if they were good. (Read: I took certain liberties with their personalities.) 18. Why does Ami act so out of character? Uh, you may have noticed that Ami is my *least* favorite character. That's not to say that I hate her, or even dislike her that much . . . it's just that I don't *like* her that much. I would hate her if it wasn't for a certain dream I had that you should *pray* I NEVER write into a fanfic. Suffice it to say that it mainly has to do with Ami, Haruka, and Michiru. And Michiru is NOT happy. The whole thing was very twisted but it made me cry! (For a week after that dream, I could NOT look at Ami without sniffling.) My subconcious is very odd in the ways it likes to torture me. ^^; Anyway, during the writing of this 'fic, it suddenly came to me why I don't like Ami. She hardly ever SMILES! That's really irritating! So that's why I had her loosen up a little and made Zoisite kind of obssessed with making her smile. ^_^ 19. What's up with Mina? This one's hard. Well, in a great deal of fanfiction, the way that Minako is written deals more with her "true" self, rather than her bright, bubbly exterior. I think it's to give her a little more "heart", and to keep her from being written too much like Usagi. However, I believe that her boundless energy and enthusiasm are as much a part of her as the deadly seriousness that we rarely see. So Minako is a type of paradoxical, conflicting character, harder to write than most people would think. She's not simply a blonde airhead or a "deeply troubled, emotionally scarred or unstable" (where did that come from?) individual. Thus, if I wrote her like she had multiple personality syndrome, I'm sorry, but it's the best that I could do. P.S. I really *really* didn't mean to write her using a double standard in Part Five. It was an accident! I wrote the scene with her and Rei first, then I wrote the one where she's yelling at Serenity. Then I went back and made a couple of changes to the first scene . . . and well, Mina really is a better person than that. Sorry! 20. Why aren't the Outer Senshi in this more? Well, I wanted to focus on the *relationships* between Serenity and her Inner Senshi and Endymion and his Guardians. (They will be in the other fanfic more-the one that's a backstory to this backstory and probably the sequel, too.) 21. Why does Pluto show up so much? She's my favorite Outer. (It's favoritism, I admit it!) 22. What was the whole "blood scene" about? Serenity shared her blood with Endymion, making him immortal. Otherwise, he'd die, a long, long time before she did. 23. Why were there scenes of Kunzite and Minako in the song in Part Four, even though they hadn't met yet? Foreshadowing. They're so cute together! 24. Explain the purpose of the Guardians' stones, please. They are magic stones (i.e. Ginzuishou, Golden Crystal) granted to the Guardians. They are all linked to Endymion's quartz crystal, which is *not* his magic stone (the Golden Crystal is) but is also magic. Being of Earth, the crystals help unlock the powers belonging to the Prince and his Guardians, but do not actually possess any magic of their own. If anything happens to Endymion, his crystal will amplify his distress, causing the Guardians' stones to respond by flashing. They also strengthen their bond to their prince. 25. Are the Senshi attuned to Princess Serenity? Yes, due to the oath that their mothers swore on their behalf in Part One to gain the elixir of immortality. Her pain is their pain. 26. How does Minako know about the Dark Kingdom and what was her oath exactly? The Dark Kingdom came to the moon before and murdered her boyfriend (Alan in the present day. Some things just repeat, huh?). Queen Serenity banished them for a time, but could not keep them from returning. Minako was a Healer, but because she failed to save her boyfriend and his lover (Katarina, who was like a sister to her.) she swore that she would never heal again. She also slit her wrist (Yuck!) and healed the wound, leaving a scar so that she would never forget what had happened. She vowed that if the Dark Kingdom ever returned (meaning that she had failed completely) the scar would reopen and she would bleed to death unless there was someone who cared enough to save her life. (Aw, Pluto, I didn't know you cared!) 27. Why is Part Five so *loooooong*? I warned you, didn't I? I got carried away, and it was my favorite part of the whole fic, so I couldn't resist. 'Sides, I had to make the climax better than the rest of the fic and give the readers a reason to read, right? Also, I just *had* to write some of those scenes, like the one with Pluto and Serenity and the Ball! 28. Are Endymion and Serenity really married? In my 'fic, yes, they were. 29. Why did you write Beryl the way that you did? She's an evil sorceress, but even evil sorceresses have reasons for what they do. And no, I don't feel any compassion for her! It's not 'cause I'm heartless either, I just think she could have dealt with her loss a *little* better. (Listen to me, *I* wrote her that way! Ugh.) 30. Why did Beryl's mother summon Metallia? She was evil and wanted power. 31. Doesn't the whole kidnapping thing get repetitive? Yes, but that's the way I wanted to do it. Lay off! 32. Why was Part Six written like a really bad poem? For once, I wanted images, not words. 33. What does *look up* mean? I simply wrote that to show that the Senshi did look up, to see their loves. 34. Whose point of view was most of Part Six in? Minako or Rei's, I think. It could be any of the four Inner Senshi. 35. Why did Serenity and Endymion die at the end? To be reborn. 36. Why were the other Senshi, the Guardians, Queen Serenity, and her husband waiting for Serenity and Endymion? They had already died. Serenity would never die before her Senshi, don't you know that? 37. What happened to Chibi-Usa? Will she be reborn too? She became Queen of Crystal Tokyo. Yes, I think she will. 'Elios too, but that's another story. (Don't worry, I'm not writing that one.) 38. What is that stupid motorcycle accident you keep writing about?!! Read my new fanfic (once it's out-it's the alternate reality one, NOT the prequel or sequel to "Past Loves") and see. The incident might not come up for a while, though . . . and the circumstances will be different, but it's *basically* the same thing. 39. What you wrote was exactly like something I read somewhere else! Scary thought. I believe I have read, at the moment, the work of 60 or 70+ authors of SM fanfiction. However, it is not, nor has ever been, my intent to steal something from someone else's work. If there are any similarities, I assure you that they are completely unintentional, except for Part Six, which was inspired by Monica Shin's "Duty, Choices." However, if someone *intentionally* stole something from *my* story, I will hunt you down and make you pay. Get me? Uh, *hehe* don't feed the author! 40. Why did you write this fanfic? Because. Concept and The End Result Dedicated to those who love, and hope, and dream. At first this was going to be a simple love story about Serenity and Endymion. Then it was going to be a slightly more encompassing tale of the Senshi and their loves. Then I wanted to write a bit of a background and answer some questions left unanswered. Somehow, all of these things got woven together and this piece of fan fiction became what it is now, and I don't rightly know what it truly is. But if it has moved you, inspired you, or brought something new to your life, then I ask for nothing more. A huge arigato goes out to Monica Shin, whose "Duty, Choices" as you should know by now, inspired Part Six, and most of this fanfic. I'd like to thank everyone who's supported me throughout the writing of this fanfic (and afterwards), but that would take too long. You know who you are. Oh, who cares, I'll list you all anyway! Renee, Mimin, Connie, Lianne, Anastasia, Nicole, Sue Mei, Becky, Glenda, Jay, Chibi-isa, Jade, Michi Kenshi, Christy C., Zeena (my official "Past Loves" artist), Razzzberi, Sue, Alina, Elizabeth, La Chanda Fogle, Beverly, MJ, Andi, and those two people who wrote me but didn't leave their names. ^_^;;; Thanks should also go to Lianne (Again!), Lynda, Connie Kotkins, Renee (Likewise, again! Oh, and of course, I mustn't forget to give credit where it's due. So THANK YOU to those people who made this all possible - My wonderful administrators: Jupiter Knight, Luna & Artemis, the Webmaster, Sailor Kity, and Icyfyre. Ja (for now), Fushigi Kismet P.S.
