-----Chapter 1: It was the Beginning of 


            Everything

[Why does she seem so familar.]


        Rei thought quietly as she


watched the new transfer student


make her way to the front.  


The blonde flashed everyone


a quick "V for Victory" sign and


introduced herself, "Ohayo Minna-sama!


I am Aino Minako.  I am honored to be


transfered to such a prestigious school


as T*A."


        "Arigato, Minako-san. I am sure you 


will like it here at T*A Girls' Private 


School." Thier teacher, Sister Angela 


said, "Please take a seat, anywhere is 


fine."


        Rei noticed that Minako immediately 


headed towards her direction. Minako presented 


her hand to her and smiled, "Hello, Hino-san. I've


heard so much about you.  You mind if I seat


here?"


        "Iie, Aino-san." Rei said taking 


Minako's hand.  Rei sensed the feeling of


familarity in her touch and she knew that


Minako did too.  Minako smiled at her


and then quietly took her seat. Rei hid a


smile, she had finally found a kindered 


spirit.


        


        Ami was bored.  Ever since she had


been getting the top scores for all the 


National Math, Science, and History exams, 


Juuban High was convinced that she was more 


than capable for independent studies.  


Therefore, she was forced out of class to 


study on her own.  She had already study


all the Advance Textbooks that she had borrowed 


from the library and done all of next weeks'


homework for the other classes, that


really left her with nothing to do.


        [Maybe I should visit other schools...]


Ami thought as she flip through her Magazine.


[It says here that Azabu Boys' Private School


is number one for math and science in the nation.


And T*A is the top for History.  I'm sure T*A 


would let me visit but Azabu..hmmm...]


        Then the bell rang for the end of school


and everyone came flying out of the rooms.


        "Ami-chan!!!!"


        Ami recognized that cute, high-pitched


voice immediatedly, "Konnichi wa, Usagi-chan!."


        Ami watched as Usagi's long blond braid


danced with the wind.  Making her look very


beautiful, like a princess.


        Ami giggled. [She sure doesn't act


like one.]


        Ami was almost knocked down as Usagi


glomped her.


        "How was school?" Ami asked.


        "Boring. I'm hungry let's go visit


Motoki-san."


        "Wait, where's Mako-chan?" Ami asked looking


through the crowd for the tall brunette.


        "Mako-chan is with Saki-san.  She says


that she will meet us there.  Come on, I'm


starving."  Usagi said as she dragged Ami


down the street.


        "That's right, I almost forgot.  


She's pretty serious about him."


        "Yeah, I'm glad that Mako-chan has


found her special someone." Usagi smiled,


as she remembered the lovely glow in


Makoto's eyes.


        "So how are Mamoru-san and you


getting along?"


        "Great.  I can't wait to see him,


he promised to take me out to dinner


tonight."


        Ami watched as Usagi's face


radiated with new light, which made her


look even more beautiful. 


[Was love really that powerful?] She wondered.


She had a lot of admirers 


but she was never interested.  Especially 


since they kept sending her love letters,


which she is extremely allergic to, and 


that meant rashes everyday.  She hated 


rashes they always made her unusually 


cranky. Ami never really talked about love,


but for once her curiosity overcame


her nervousness.


        "Usagi-chan, what's is like to be in


love?" Ami blurted out.


        Ami could tell that Usagi was


surprised, but also understanding


at the same time.


        "Well, it hard to explain..."


Usagi rubbed her chin in deep thought.


"Everyone responds to love in different


ways."


        "How do you feel when you're


with Mamoru-san?"


        "I always feel warm, safe,


and most of all, whole.  If I make him 


laugh or smile, I would feel that I


could dedicate my life just to see him 


happy like that."


        Ami quickly stored the information 


in her memory for future reference.


        "Arigato, Usagi-chan.  That helps


a lot."


        As they entered the sliding glass


doors of the Crown Parlor, they were


greeted by their red-haired friend.


        "Konnichi wa! Ami-chan, Usagi-chan. 


Stopping by for some food?"


        "Konnichi wa! Una-chan. Where's


Motoki-san today?" Usagi asked as she and


Ami slipped into a booth.


        "My brother had some unfinished 


business at the Arcade again. Anyway,


What would you ladies like today?"


        "I would like a Strawberry Milkshake


and those really delicious cheesecakes."


Usagi squealed.


        "I will just have Iced Jasmine Tea 


and a sandwich, please."


        "Okay. That's one Strawberry Milkshake,


one cheesecake, a Iced Jasmine Tea, and


a sandwich. Be right back!" Una then walked


away to help the next customer.


        "Ami-chan, have you heard the recent news


about the Shitennou!" Usagi said, whispering


urgenlty.


        "Shitennou? Are they a new Idol group?"


        Usagi eyes almost bulged out of its'


sockets.


        "Una-chan!!! Ami-chan doesn't know who


the Shitennou are!"


        Immediatedly, the red head ran to thier


booth. "You don't know who the Shitennou are?"


        "I'm afriad so."


        Una and Usagi gasped in disbelief.


        "You never heard of them at all?" they


asked in unison.


        Ami shook her head, feeling slightly


embrassed.


        Una took out a picture from her pocket


and handed it to Ami.


        "See, those five men they are the Shitennou."


        On the photoe, there were five men fighting, 


each of them busy with a youma or two. They wore white masks,


(AN: the one that Tuxie always wears)even with them


on Ami could tell how handsome they were.  All of


them wore the same gray uniform lined with a cretain


colored trimming, except for one. 


He was adorned with black armor that had golden


designs on it. He was mostly wearing blue with a long


flowing cape.  He was obvious somebody of importance,


maybe the leader. However, she noticed that one of


the men in gray uniform who had long platinum 


hair had a cape on as well.


        [Probably Second-in-command.] Ami thought.


        "What are they?"


        "Huh?" Una asked.


        "If they aren't idols, what are they?"


        "They are warriors against evil." Una exclaimed


excitedly, "This one time, I was walking home and


all of a sudden this HUGE youma attacked me.  However,


they came and saved me." Una swooned.


        "So the rumors about youma are true." Ami


said thoughtfully.


        "Don't you think they're super cool, 


Ami-chan." Usagi asked, "Una-chan's favorite is the


Shitennou with short blond hair. Which one do you 


think is the cutest, Ami-chan?"


        Ami blushed, one did catch her eye. It was


the Shitennou who had sea-green lining on


his uniform.  His mask had fallen a bit and it


revealed beautiful turquoise eyes, which matched


perfectly with his long blond curls. His whole


profile emitted warmth and wisdom.  Ami had


never been so attracted to a man before.


        "Una-chan, how did you get such a close


shot?" Ami asked, changing the subject.


        "That's what Umino-san for." Una said


winking, "You'll be surprised at what that


little nerd can do."


        "Konnichi wa, Minna-chan."  Everyone


looked up to see a tall brunette enter


through the glass door.


        "Mako-chan!!! You finally made it."


Usagi said, patting the seat next to her.


        "What would you like today, Mako-chan?"


Una asked.


        "Just Milk Tea, Arigato."


        Una nodded and walked away.


        "So I see, that you guys are talking


about the Shitennou," Makoto said, as she


noticed the picture in Ami's hand. "The news


is certainly spreading.  Since the youma


attacks have become more and more frequent.


The police force thinks its some kind of new


rapist group since they only attack girls. Those


baka(s)! I was attacked by one a week ago, it


was a good thing Saki-kun was there to


save me."


        [Strange...youmas in Tokyo.] Ami


thought absent-mindedly.


        "Here you are girls, your food


and drinks. Enjoy." Una winked, "Ami-chan


can I have my picture back?"


        "Hai, here." Ami handed Una the picture


and started on her sandwich.  Then she


noticed her watch, it was 5:55 already!


        "Oh no! I'm going to be late for Cram 


School." Ami said, she quickly got up and ran


out the door.


        "Ami-chan!!! What about your food?."


Usagi shouted. 


        Too late, the blue girl had completely 


vanished down the street.


 


        


        "Rei-chan!"


        Rei turned around and smiled at the


blonde that was making her way towards her.


        Everyone in T*A were shocked


at the familarity Minako used.  Minako had, 


in one day, did something they could never 


do. She had made friends with the 


enigmatic Rei. Everyone in T*A were always


intimidated by Rei's mysterious and elegant


nature, but more so of her power.  They knew


of her supernatural powers and her encounter


with Kagehiro Himeko of Class 3-A.  Himeko,


being the bitch that she is, started to 


torment Rei ever since the whole class started


turning thier attention to the beautiful Rei.


Himeko started calling her a freak, a witch,


and a demon hoping to break Rei's calm


disposition.  However, no matter what Himeko


did or said, Rei was able to handle herself


elegantly and became admired even more.


Even when Himeko had pour spaghetti sauce


all over her hair.  Rei had just gotten


up calmly, went to the P.E locker rooms,


showered and changed to a new uniform


and came out even more beautiful.  


The fresh shower had made her black hair


shine, showing off her usually hidden violet


highli(gh)ts.


        Himeko was so frustrated, she couldn't


think of a way to piss Rei off and started


to throw all kinds of insults at her.


None of them affected Rei in the very least


until Himeko had said, "I know why you're


a freak, because you're Ojii-san (Grandpa)


sexually molests you everyday."


        Rei had stiffened when she heard this


and turned around to fix her cold violet eyes


at her, "What did you say?"


        "Your Ojii-san is a molester." Himeko


said, emphazing every last word.


        Rei eyes suddenly turned into a ruby red


and her whole body started to glow. As Rei


clunched her fist it burst into a small flame.


Rei punched the wall next to Himeko's face, melting


the concrete and singeing Himeko's fizzy brown


hair.


        "Next time you say that, I will 


show no mercy."


        Then Rei's eyes suddenly turned back to their 


cool violet and walked away, leaving a very shakened


Himeko.


 


        "Where are going to now, Rei-chan?" Minako


asked as she and Rei linked arms.


        "I have Judo club at 4."


        "Me too! We can go together."


        Rei laughed gently.


        "What's so funny?" Minako huffed.


        "Oh nothing, it's just that I didn't


imagine you as that kind of person."


        Minako smiled, "I know it's not


really me, but I always have the urge to learn


the martial arts. The urge to protect the


things I love. Don't you have that feeling too?"


        Rei was startled as she watched Minako's bright 


sapphire eyes turn dark and cool.


        [Her emotions...they change so easily...]


        [She can be like that sometimes.]


a voice whispered in her head.


        Rei was jerked out of her trace (literally)


when Minako suddenly grabbed Rei by the wrist.


        "Come on!" Minako said, slipping back to 


her cheerful tone, "We're going to be late."


        


        At class, eveyone was really impressed


by the skills Minako shown.  Judo, or any


form of marital arts, was not a new thing to


her and she obviously had the mind of a


warrior.


        [Just like me.] Rei thought as she


remembered her fight with Minako. Rei


was the best in the entire group and she was


beaten by Minako in less than five minutes.


It did sting her pride a bit, but before they


even started fighting she knew she was going 


to lose.


        Class was soon over and everyone filed into


the locker rooms to shower and change. It just


so happens that the Advance Ballet Club also


ends at this time, so Himeko and her sheep


came chattering in and giggling idiotically.


Rei rolled her eyes and continued to


pack her bag.


        "Konnichi wa, Minako-san." Himeko


said, giving Minako her super sweet smile.


        "Oh, konnichi wa Himeko-san." Minako


said, still rummaging through her locker


for her other shoe.


        "Minako-san, we were wondering 


if you want to drop by my house afterwards?


It would be a lot of fun."


        Rei frozed, [Not again...]


        "Gomen, I can't.  I'm going to


Rei-chan's house later." Minako replied,


still looking for her other shoe.


        "Don't you think it would


be better if you hanged out with a normal


person?"


        Minako finding her shoe, slammed


the locker door shut.


        "She is a normal person. Besides


I like her better than you."


        "What did you say?!"


        "You heard me." Minako said, her 


voice calm.  She picked up her bookbag


and started walking away.


        "Come on,  Rei-chan."


        Himeko was overwhelmed with anger


and hatred, as she watched the two walk


away,


        "You'll regret that Minako-san."


 


        


        "Maybe we should stop by the Crown


Cafe or -"


        "Minako-chan?"


        "Yeah?" The bubbly blonde answered.


        "I don't think we should be friends


anymore."


        "Nani?!"


        With that Rei started to run, as


far from Minako as possible.


        "Matte! Rei-chan!"


        [If she becomes my friend she


will suffer like all the others...]


        Scenes of her friends being


humiliated flashed through her mind.  She 


remembered how they would break down and cry 


as everyone laughed at them.  Most of all she 


remembered the words they had said when she had 


tried to comfort them,


        "Maybe if you weren't such a freak


this wouldn't have happened to me."


        "I hate you, you freak."


        "Why can't you be normal! This is all your


fault."


        The accusations echoed through her head


over and over again. Rei clenched her head in 


pain and fell to her knees, as her raven hair


surrounded her.


        "Rei-chan..." 


        "Stay away from me. You don't want to


be friends with a person like me." Rei said,


looking into Minako's worried blue eyes.


        "Why, Rei-chan?"


        Rei clenched her fist, letting the


pain of her nails digging into her palm


comfort her.


        "Because I am a freak.  I have powers


that normal people aren't suppose to have."


Rei said, thinking of her ablitiy to control 


flames,


        "Besides I don't want you to get hurt 


because of me."


        "Can't you tell I don't care? If I did


care, why would I do what I did to Himeko?"


        "You don't understand, I am a freak!"


Rei said and with a flick of her wrist, a


small flame appeared in her hand,


        "Don't you see, normal people don't 


have the ability to do this? Why would 


you what to be friends with a freak like me?"


        Minako kneeled down, and met Rei eye to


eye.


        "Because..." Minako said smiling softly, as 


a golden ball of light quickly gathered between her 


hands, "I'm a freak as well."


        


        "Daijobu, Kei-kun?" Zakichi asked with 


he noticed his friend's sudden stop. Kei was 


looking unusually pale, but his silver eyes 


glittered with happiness.


        "Didn't you guys feel it?" Kei said 


excitedly, as he nervously tuck his platinum 


hair behind his ear.


        Jirukichi raised his eyebrow at his


friend, getting excited wasn't really one


of Kei's traits.


        "Feel what?"


        "It's her!" Kei said getting really


excited.


        "Okay, Kei-kun. You're starting to


scare the crap out of me." Jirukichi said


as he ran his hand through his unruly blonde


hair.


        "It's her, I'm sure of it." Kei


said, "I could feel her power, the power


of Venus."


        "Are you sure?" Zakichi asked, trying


to feel the power himself.


        "Hell sure." Kei said.


        "Since you mentioned it, I thought


I also felt Mars' power too." Jirukichi


said, his eyes softening at the thought


of his beautiful princess.


        "So they are here, I was starting


to doubt what the stars have told me."


Nobuo said.


        "We must tell the prince, immediately." 


Kei said.


        [Finally, Venus I have found you.]


        The four young students of Azabu Boy's


Private School then quickly teleported to the house 


of thier prince, Chiba Mamoru, to tell him


the good news.
